Climber loving Max

This boy climbs up on everything. As in, EVERYTHING!  Falling multiple times with with numerous head bumps hasn't deterred him either. This morning while I was enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck, he climbed up in the chair next to me. We just sat and hung out for a while.  It was one of those moments where I enjoyed his love for climbing.
15 months old and cuter than ever!!

Max learned how to crawl today! Took him 10 months, but he finally figured it out. Way to go little buddy!!

Lexi's first Haircut!!

Lexi finally had her first haircut.  She was incredibly sweet and well mannered the whole time. She listened well to instructions and remembered to say "please" and "thank you" at all the right times.  She has seen Levi get haircuts many times, and I think she was super happy it was finally her turn!!

The hair stylists mentioned that most girls who wait too long for the first haircut end up with a mullet.  YIKES!  Thank goodness Lexi was an exception to that rule! Ha!
(She also got some serious complements on how beautiful her eyes are. No surprise here on that one, we've been loving those beautiful eyes for 2 1/2 years now.)

Duct tape box

Daddy made Max a car as an early Christmas present. 😂
I think he likes it!

Thanksgiving 2014

The kids did these sweet crafts at day care this year, listing off the things they are most thankful for. So sweet, and very true!!  They go to an awesome daycare. I'm so thankful for Ms. Nessa and her family, and that we found such a wonderful place for our kids to go while we are at work.  This is definitely a craft I'll enjoy seeing again in the future!

Road trip!

6 months into being a family of 5 and we are finally attempting our first road trip.  We are heading over the mountain and through the woods (literally) to grandma and grandpa's (and Jet, of course) for Thanksgiving. We are all pretty excited about it for a few reason's.  First off, this will be Max's first ever road trip! Praying he does well on the 7 hour ride. Secondly, since Moises and I are nurses, we rarely get approved to take vacation time around the holidays,  making it very difficult to be with family for Christmas or Thanksgiving.  So this year we're feeling blessed and thankful for the time off and time with family.  We praise God for the opportunity and prayerfully we'll have a great vacation!  Can't wait!!

Jump Max, Jump!

Clearly the door jumper is his favorite play place.  If he keeps this up, perhaps he'll start burning off some of those baby rolls!  And if he doesn't, that's okay, cause we LOVE this kid and his rolls!

Sunglasses

He asked if he could wear his sunglasses.   Considering all the sun we get here in the Pacific Northwest,  I think these are quite suitable.  :)

December 2013

(**This is a post I started almost a year ago and neglected to publish.  Look how little they were!**)

December is ALWAYS a busy month... for everyone!  I have a lot of pictures to share with you so we'll just move right into those.  That's what this blog is all about anyways, right?! :)
Let's start with some photos we took before going to our Christmas morning church service.  Our church is pretty casual, so it's not very often the kids get all dressed up.  Christmas, however, is always one of those times.

December is not just about Christmas in our family - It's also about birthdays!!  Levi turned 3 this year.  Did you catch that?  THREE.  Levi is THREE years old now! Whoa, time is fah-ly-ing by!!  Both kids were sick the week of his birthday so we didn't have a party this year, but rather just a small celebration with the 4 of us.  Levi had tons of fun!  Opening presents was obviously his favorite part.  He didn't really care what the present was, he was just excited to open something.
