We had a surprisingly sunshiny day here today. It was quite refreshing and unexpected for mid January, but there were no complaints around the Gallegos household! After naptime the kids and I went outside and played around in the back yard. It was so nice to have a break from our typical outings and indoor activities. Anything to help with cabin fever is always welcomed here during the winter!

As I was watching the kids play together it donned on me that I haven't taken pictures of them in quite some time. In fact, I couldn't even remember the last time I pulled out the good camera and just shot some pics of them playing around. Total mom guilt instantly sank into my heart!! I would love to insert here a tiny blurb of how busy I've been, or how chaotic life has been, or some other tear-jerker excuse as to why I've neglected to capture snapshots of the kids lately but I really have no good excuse. Well, no excuse good enough that 10 years from now I'll be "understanding" of the fact that I didn't take pictures of my kids during the past few months.

SOOOO, I whipped out the camera and clicked away. The kids must have missed our little photo shoots because they were quite excited and
more than willing to smile and say CHEESE to the camera (which almost NEVER happens). Lexi loved it so much she couldn't stop; even after I put the camera away, everytime I looked at her she would smile and say "Cheeeeeeeeese!!" So cute! These 2 kids are quite awesome in my opinion. They just seem to get better and better every day!
