From Summer into Fall

We had a pretty fabulous summer here in the Pacific Northwest this year.  In fact, I believe we actually broke a record for the most number of days without rain.  It was fantastic!  I think I took Levi and Lexi to park almost every single day while the weather was nice.  Levi loves playing at the park, and Lexi never did complain about tagging a long.  Now that fall is here and winter is right behind it, I'm going to have to start thinking a little more outside the box in finding ways to help the kids burn some energy.  Here's a few pictures of just one of our many, many trips to the park.

PHEW! That boy has got some energy!

This is usually how Lexi spends her time at the park...

...or like this - sleeping.  Actually, we usually go during her nap time, but she's never complained.

Playing with a soccer ball and a football, all the while watching some baseball practice.  Proud daddy here!

Dreaming big! Don't worry buddy, daddy will teach you!

And now for some random, everyday moments... a few more of those tiny memories we hope to never forget.  Most of these pictures were taken anytime from the end of August through October.
This is how daddy gets the kids to calm down before bedtime.  When I got home from work they were both bathed and tucked in together watching a "Super Why" cartoon (with Kady by their side, of course).

Lexi reaching for her toys.

Got it!  Another tiny milestone mastered.  The reward?  Playing with toys, of course!

Tummy time.  Lexi is now able to roll from her back to belly and from belly to back.

Surprisingly, Lexi doesn't mind tummy time as long as she has some entertainment down there.

I think Moises would appreciate if I explained that the necklace is an amber teething necklace a friend let us borrow (Thanks Christina!).  It does serve a purpose, thus it is not for style or decoration, and it is NOT a girlie necklace.  ;)  (Also, take note of that green highlighter I was letting him draw with as you continue to scroll through the rest of these pictures.)

All dressed up and ready to go to church.

Pretty sure this hat is my favorite baby girl accessory so far.

She has found her feet.  Hooray for free entertainment.

Okay, I wish I could take credit for the content in this picture, but he did this all on his own.                                                     It's the green nipple-headband wearing-diaper stealing-bandit.  And doesn't his facial expression just scream of innocence?!

A better view of his green highlighter body art.

Holding her own rattle.

This was earlier in the summer.  Moises swaddled him like a baby and gave him one of Lexi's paci's.  He just layed there for a while.  Perhaps he was missing the swaddle and the paci.

Crazy baby hair!  With time it's getting much more tame, but how can you not love it!?

An "It's too early in the morning" face.

I wonder if every set of sibblings in the entire world has a picture like this?

Bath time!

Dressed in play clothes and headin' out to play.  Where to?  The park of course!  (And he's sporting his sock monkey hat from his first birthday... It still fits, sort of, and we still love it!

Lexi's also ready for another day at the park.

We've been trying to teach him how to pedal.  He still hasn't figured it out.  In the meantime, he'd just rather push his bike around rather than ride on it.

"Sweeping up" the leaves off the tree.
I guess that's enough for now.  We have so many pictures, this blog post could go on and on and on.  So I will just end it here, rather abruptly. =)  Hope you enjoyed some of our random every day moments!
